Roles & Responsibilities (Manager/Deputy Manager Mechanical Design Engineer) Design & Development Lead the design of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) , jigs, fixtures, and automation systems. Develop 3D/2D CAD models (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo) and ensure compliance with design standards. Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual layouts based on customer requirements. Project Management Plan, allocate, and monitor design activities within the mechanical design team. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, Procurement) for smooth project execution. Ensure timely delivery of design outputs as per project schedules. Technical Expertise Perform design calculations, tolerance stack-up, and strength analysis for critical components. Review and approve designs, drawings, and BOMs prepared by the design team. Ensure designs comply with safety standards, ergonomics, and cost optimization. Team Leadership Guide and mentor junior engineers/designers in best practices. Conduct design reviews and provide technical feedback. Foster innovation and encourage continuous improvement within the team. Customer & Vendor Interaction Attend client meetings to understand requirements and present design concepts. Work closely with vendors for fabrication feasibility, costing, and technical clarifications. Support installation, trials, and commissioning at customer sites when required. Documentation & Quality Prepare and maintain detailed design documents, BOMs, and assembly drawings. Ensure adherence to companys ISO/quality standards in design deliverables. Maintain project records for future reference and knowledge sharing. Preferred Candidate Profile Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 6-12 years in Mechanical Design, preferably in SPM/Industrial Automation/Automotive equipment domain. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD . Strong knowledge of machine design, hydraulics, pneumatics, and material selection. Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design validation. Domain Expertise: Hands-on experience in designing Special Purpose Machines, automation lines, robotic integration preferred. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication for customer/vendor interaction. Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines. Senior Design Engineer-4-6Years of Experience, Junior Design Engineer-2-4Years of Experience. Location Preference: Pune-based candidates.
