About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior PHP Developer to join our development team. You will work closely with senior developers and project managers to build, maintain, and optimize web applications. Key Responsibilities Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code. Assist in developing and maintaining web applications, APIs, and backend systems. Work with MySQL or other databases for queries, optimization, and data management. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality output. Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in PHP and web development. Support senior developers in day-to-day tasks and larger project deliverables. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). Strong knowledge of PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. Basic understanding of MySQL and database design. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript , and responsive design. Exposure to frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony (a plus but not mandatory). Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively. Nice-to-Have Experience with version control tools such as Git . Knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON. Basic understanding of MVC architecture. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
