Job Description: Head of Technology / Product Engineering Location: Bangalore Workdays: 5 days/week Compensation: 50 - 55 LPA (negotiable) Reports to: CEO Summary: We are looking for a Head of Technology / Product Engineering to lead our technology strategy, drive innovation, and build scalable products. This role is pivotal in shaping our digital transformation and ensuring seamless execution of technology initiatives. As a key leader, you will be responsible for developing high-performing engineering teams and aligning technology with business goals. This role is structured as a stepping stone to a potential CTO position in the future. Key Responsibilities: Technology Strategy and Innovation: Define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with business objectives. Identify and adopt emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Drive R&D initiatives and foster a culture of continuous innovation. Engineering Leadership & Team Building: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, architects, and IT professionals. Establish engineering best practices, agile methodologies, and DevOps principles. Scale engineering teams and develop future technology leaders within the company. Product Development & Architecture: Oversee the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. Implement best-in-class software development practices and ensure code quality. Drive cloud infrastructure, Microservices, and API strategies for optimal scalability. Digital Transformation & Operational Excellence: Champion automation, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with business and product teams to deliver innovative solutions. Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of technology platforms. Security, Compliance & Risk Management: Build and enforce a robust cybersecurity framework to protect digital assets. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry security standards. Proactively mitigate risks and respond to security threats effectively. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Evaluate, select, and manage technology vendors and strategic partners. Oversee vendor negotiations, SLAs, and cost-effective technology investments. Requirements: Must-Have: 14+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, including digital transformation. 10+ years of full-stack development experience with Node.js, JavaScript, React, or Vue.js. 2-5 years in Engineering Management, Lead Engineer, or equivalent roles. Strong expertise in cloud computing (AWS/GCP/Azure), DevOps, and microservices. Deep understanding of software development methodologies, agile, and CI/CD practices. Experience managing large-scale product engineering teams and building tech-driven businesses. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Good to Have: Experience with AI/ML, data engineering, blockchain, or other emerging technologies. Prior experience in fast-growing startups or high-scale SaaS products.
