About the position Smart Freight Centre (SFC) is seeking a motivated and creative Communications Intern to support our freight decarbonization efforts in India. This role will primarily focus on two key areas: emissions accounting and freight electrification, working alongside our India team and SFC’s global technical experts. The ideal candidate is passionate about climate action, skilled in visual and written communication, and eager to apply their creativity to amplify impactful freight decarbonization stories. Key responsibilities Create engaging content (social media posts, infographics, short videos, visuals, presentations) that communicates our freight decarbonization projects in India. Assist in designing materials for internal and external communications, including reports, case studies, newsletters, and event collateral. Collaborate with the India and global teams to translate technical insights and data into accessible and compelling stories. Support the development and execution of communications plans for project milestones, stakeholder engagements, and pilot launches. Maintain and update contact databases, communications trackers, and content libraries. Assist with drafting social media posts and website content aligned with SFC’s tone and brand. Help organize and document virtual or in-person events (e.g., webinars, roundtables).
