You are a highly skilled HVAC Draughtsman with expertise in AutoCAD, responsible for designing, planning, and preparing detailed HVAC drawings as per project requirements. Your role includes experience in heat load calculations, equipment selection, BOQ preparation, and system layout planning. You will develop detailed HVAC drawings for projects using AutoCAD, including ductwork layouts, piping layouts, ventilation systems, and air distribution plans. You will also prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings as per project requirements. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications is crucial, along with working on chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems, DX systems, and ventilation designs. Performing heat load calculations to determine HVAC system capacity, assisting in duct sizing, pipe sizing, and airflow balancing, and planning chiller, AHU, FCU, and exhaust system layouts are part of your responsibilities. You will also select appropriate HVAC equipment based on project load requirements, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM), and coordinate with procurement and suppliers. Ensuring HVAC designs comply with industry standards, working in coordination with MEP teams, architects, and structural engineers, and conducting site visits and inspections are essential tasks. You will maintain and update project documentation, assist in preparing tender documents and project reports, and review HVAC designs for cost-effectiveness and performance optimization. Required qualifications include a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Design, 3-7 years of experience in HVAC drafting and designing, expertise in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), and knowledge of HVAC software such as HAP, Revit MEP, and Duct Sizer. Strong understanding of heat load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and HVAC design codes like ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, along with excellent communication and coordination skills, are necessary. Preferred skills include experience in Revit MEP and BIM coordination, knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC system designs, and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC-related issues on-site.
