Slitting Machine Operator

You are a skilled and experienced Slitting Machine Operator with 5-6 years of hands-on experience in the flexible packaging industry. Your role involves operating and monitoring slitting machines to slit jumbo rolls into specified widths. You will be responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining slitting machines to ensure high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your key responsibilities include reading and interpreting job orders, performing machine setup, inspecting finished rolls for accuracy in size and quality, troubleshooting and resolving minor machine issues, maintaining cleanliness and safety of the machine and work area, as well as maintaining production logs and reporting issues to the supervisor. To excel in this role, you must have a strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of machine operations, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. Knowledge of basic quality checks and safety standards is essential. You should be willing to work shifts, including night shifts if required.
