Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Solar I&C Head located in Mumbai. The Solar I&C Head will be responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of multiple solar plants, managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and coordinating with the engineering team and clients. The role also involves conducting site assessments, supervising technical staff, and ensuring optimal performance and maintenance of installed systems. Qualifications Experience in Renewable Energy and Energy Management Analytical skills for assessing project viability and performance Business Planning and expertise in the Energy Industry Strong organizational and leadership skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field Previous experience in 20MW+ solar installation and commissioning is highly recommended Should be able to bring in atleast 30-50 solar installation labors and team well trained and well experienced on open access solar.

Role Overview The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising, executing, and monitoring all on-site installation activities for Solar Open Access projects. The role requires ensuring that civil, mechanical, and electrical installations are completed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements . The Site Engineer will be the primary technical point of contact on site , ensuring seamless coordination between contractors, vendors, project management teams, and clients. Key Responsibilities Installation & Execution Supervise civil foundation works, module mounting structure erection, module installation, cabling, and electrical system setup (HT/LT panels, inverters, transformers, switchyard, SCADA, etc.). Ensure installation adheres to approved drawings, BOQs, standards (MNRE, IEC, IS codes) and project-specific technical requirements. Verify alignment, leveling, torque tightening, earthing, and cable routing at each stage. Conduct quality checks and testing of installed equipment before handover. Project Coordination & Monitoring Act as on-site coordinator for EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives. Monitor daily progress vs. project schedule, flag delays, and ensure corrective actions. Support procurement and logistics teams by verifying material receipts, storage, and issuance at site. Maintain site documentation including work permits, inspection reports, material inward/outward, and daily progress reports. Health, Safety & Compliance Enforce compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) norms and ensure PPE usage. Conduct tool-box talks, safety drills, and ensure adherence to statutory safety requirements. Support statutory inspections and approvals (CEIG, DISCOM, electrical inspectorate, etc.). Testing & Commissioning Supervise pre-commissioning tests (IR test, continuity test, polarity check, earthing resistance, etc.). Coordinate with Project Manager for commissioning, synchronization, and performance testing. Ensure defect-free handover to O&M team. Requirements & Qualifications Education Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering (Electrical preferred). Experience 3–6 years of experience in execution of utility-scale or open access solar projects minimum of 20MW single location . Hands-on exposure to installation of PV modules, MMS, DC/AC cabling, inverters, transformers, HT/LT systems, and switchyards . Technical Skills Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, layouts, and SLDs . Knowledge of MNRE, IEC, IS standards and relevant electrical codes. Familiarity with testing procedures, QA/QC protocols, and commissioning activities . Understanding of SCADA, monitoring systems, and HT evacuation . Soft Skills Strong communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders. Ability to work under tight deadlines and in remote project sites. Leadership qualities to manage teams of contractors and technicians. Problem-solving attitude with focus on execution excellence. Other Requirements Willingness to travel and stay at project sites for extended durations. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and reporting tools. Fluency in English and Hindi.
