Site Reliability Engineer III

As a Site Reliability Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the EP, you will be at the center of a rapidly growing field in technology, driving innovation and modernizing complex and mission-critical systems. You will solve broad business problems with simple solutions through code and cloud infrastructure. Your role involves configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing applications and associated infrastructure while independently decomposing and improving existing solutions. By sharing your knowledge of end-to-end operations, availability, reliability, and scalability, you will be a significant contributor to your team. You will guide and assist others in building appropriate level designs and collaborate with software engineers and teams to design and implement deployment approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines. Additionally, you will work on designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions for availability, reliability, and scalability in applications, along with implementing infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the applications and platforms within your responsibility. Resolving complex problems by collaborating with technical experts, key stakeholders, and team members is also a key aspect of this role. Key Responsibilities: - Guiding and assisting others in building appropriate level designs - Collaborating on deployment approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines - Designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions for availability, reliability, and scalability - Implementing infrastructure, configuration, and network as code - Resolving complex problems by collaborating with technical experts and key stakeholders - Proactively utilizing service level objectives to resolve issues before customer impact - Supporting the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within the team Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience - Proficiency in site reliability culture and principles - Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net - Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline - Experience in observability using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc. - Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform - Familiarity with container and container orchestration such as ECS, Kubernetes, Docker - Familiarity with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues - Ability to contribute to large teams with compelling language and limited supervision - Proactive in recognizing roadblocks and interested in learning innovative technologies Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills: - Ability to identify new technologies and relevant solutions for software team constraints - Ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems ABOUT US,
