Job Title: Project Manager Experience: 15+ Years Department: Project and Construction Management Location: Chennai Job Summary This role is responsible for managing large-scale or multiple smaller construction projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery. The Project Manager will lead project teams and oversee site activities, safety, quality, contract compliance, client relationships, and budget adherence. Required Competencies Bachelors degree in Engineering or Architecture. Minimum 15 years of overall experience in Project Management, including at least 8 years in a Project Management Consultancy environment. Proven track record of managing large-scale projects or multiple simultaneous smaller projects across various phases. Strong knowledge of contract management and quality systems in construction projects. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes. Experience working with multicultural teams, preferably in expatriate environments in regions such as Asia, the Middle East, Africa, or South America. Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills. Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build lasting relationships, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders. Advanced technical knowledge in project planning, tendering, budgeting, contractor management, and risk mitigation. Excellent command of project management software and tools including Microsoft Project, Primavera, Team Binder, Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the execution of one or more construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, safety, and quality standards. Implement and monitor project management quality systems, tools, and procedures in line with internal standards. Oversee project activities from pre-construction through commissioning, handover, and post-construction. Ensure project teams are appropriately staffed in terms of headcount and competency. Lead recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluation of team members. Plan and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring that all deliverables are completed within the agreed scope, time, and cost constraints. Maintain effective communication and relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development efforts, including negotiation of scope changes and additional fees. Ensure robust communication channels among all stakeholders across project stages.
