Site Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary: The Site Engineer will oversee and manage the installation and erection of FRP piping systems at the project site. The role requires technical expertise in FRP materials, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with other trades to ensure proper integration and adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and execute the erection and installation of FRP piping systems as per approved drawings and specifications. Review technical drawings, isometrics, and installation procedures. Conduct site inspections and verify alignment, supports, joints, and connections. Coordinate with QA/QC, safety teams, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with standards. Plan daily installation activities, allocate manpower, and track progress. Ensure proper storage, handling, and protection of FRP materials at site. Troubleshoot installation issues and recommend corrective actions. Maintain installation documentation including daily progress reports, site modifications, and as-built drawings. Ensure all joints and connections are made using approved adhesives, fittings, and lamination as per manufacturer guidelines. Liaise with client representatives and attend site meetings. Ensure safety compliance during all installation activities. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. Minimum 35 years of site experience in FRP pipe installation in industrial or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of FRP piping systems, standards and lamination techniques. Familiar with hydrostatic/leak testing, alignment, and support installation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and isometric diagrams. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with HSE procedures and site safety regulations.
