Site Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and Planning:

  Developing detailed designs for infrastructure and buildings, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This includes conducting feasibility studies and creating project plans.

• Project Management:

  Overseeing all phases of a project, managing budgets, resources, and schedules, and ensuring completion within time and budget constraints.

• Site Investigation and Assessment:

  Performing site investigations and feasibility studies to understand project conditions, which can include overseeing soil testing.

• Construction Oversight:

  Supervising construction activities to ensure they align with the design and safety standards. This also includes providing technical guidance and troubleshooting issues that arise.

• Compliance and Safety:

  Ensuring all projects comply with legal requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations. This involves obtaining permits and monitoring the project for compliance.

• Structural Engineering:

  Focusing on the design of structures like buildings and bridges to ensure they are strong and safe.

• Transportation Engineering:

  Planning and designing transportation infrastructure like highways, tunnels, and public transit systems.

• Geotechnical Engineering:

  Focusing on the earth's surface, including soil and rock mechanics for foundations and earth structures.

• Environmental and Water Resources Engineering:

  Focusing on water and wastewater systems, drainage, and environmental protection.

• Liaising with Stakeholders:

  Working with clients, architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure clear communication and project coordination.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  Preparing project reports, specifications, and other technical documents

Preferred candidate profile

• Software:

  Proficiency in industry-standard design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit is crucial.

• Project Management:

  Experience with project management tools and software is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Technical Knowledge:

  In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations (e.g., federal, state, and local codes) is required.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving:

  Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and develop solutions are necessary.

• Communication:

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.

• Flexible working hours :
