Site Engineer

Job Summary:

The Site Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of construction activities on-site. This includes ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines. The role also involves coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth site operations.

Location : Various districts in Kerala

Key Responsibilities:

Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and monitor all on-site construction activities
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards
• Coordinate daily work schedules and labor deployment
• Monitor the use of materials and equipment on-site

Quality Control & Safety

• Inspect and ensure quality of construction materials and workmanship
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure site safety compliance
• Conduct regular quality checks and rectify any deviations

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors and consultants
• Liaise with architects structural engineers and MEP teams for site clarifications
• Assist the project manager in resolving site issues and bottlenecks

Measurement & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports, labor reports, and material consumption reports
• Maintain site records, work logs, and documentation for inspections
• Conduct measurements for billing and verification of contractor works

Project Planning & Progress Monitoring

• Track work progress against project schedule and report delays
• Assist in planning site activities to ensure timely completion
• Ensure resource optimization and minimize wastage

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• 14 years of experience as a Site Engineer in residential/commercial building projects
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and structural plans
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in high-rise buildings or large-scale projects (preferred)
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulatory standards
• Familiarity with RERA and construction documentation norms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
