The Job Profile The Simon & Schuster India Operations team is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager, Warehouse for maintaining seamless supply chain operations in a fully outsourced warehouse environment. The Job Role Reporting to the Operations Director, the Assistant Manager will be a primary link between Simon & Schuster India and the 3PL warehouse. The role will oversee smooth movement, storage, distribution of books, daily warehouse operations, monitoring SLAs, maintaining data accuracy, managing inbound receipts, master data updates, order processing, inventory control, and timely reporting. This position is key to ensuring seamless supply chain operations in a fully outsourced warehouse environment. The Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency. They should be proactive, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player who is confident, professional, and conscientious. They will have a bachelor’s degree in SCM, Logistics, Operations, Commerce, or Business Administration (with logistics/warehouse certification being a plus), and have experience in warehousing, logistics coordination, or supply chain, including work with 3PL providers. Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reporting), solid knowledge of inventory management practices, and a basic understanding of GST compliance are also essential.
