Job Title: Estimation Engineer | Interior Design Location: HSR Layout Sector 6, Bangalore Company: The Signature Design Studio Industry: Interior Design / Architecture / Construction Role Category: Project Estimation Key Responsibilities: Prepare precise cost estimates, quotations, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for high-end residential & commercial interior design projects. Analyze architectural drawings, technical specifications , and design plans to determine project scope and requirements. Identify, source, and price all materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services needed for flawless project execution. Collaborate directly with our creative design and project management teams to ensure accurate budgetary planning and cost control from concept to completion. Maintain and update a robust database of material costs, vendors, and suppliers to ensure estimates are always competitive and current. Review and validate subcontractor quotes and tender documents for accuracy and alignment with project specs. Mandatory Candidate Profile: Experience: Minimum 1 year of dedicated experience in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, or quantity surveying specifically within the Interior Design or Construction domain. (Experience in interior fit-out projects is highly preferred.) Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / B.Sc / Diploma in Interior Design or a related field. (BE/B.Tech Civil, B.Sc in Interior Design) Technical Skills: Must have proven expertise in preparing detailed BOQs and Cost Estimates for interior projects. Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced formulas, pivot tables) and AutoCAD (for reviewing drawings). Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and interior design drawings. Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional analytical and numerical abilities, and strong communication skills.
