Si GPU Functional Debug (Compute) - Staff Engineer

As a Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems. Your responsibilities will include bringing up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems for cutting-edge, world-class products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Drive Functional GPU issue reported by internal SW testing or external customers. - Participate in the reproduction of the issue in the lab in Windows/Android/Auto platforms and analyze the symptoms. - Build hypothesis based on symptoms of failures, devise experiments to check the hypothesis, and arrive at the root cause of the issue. - Communicate with Design, DV, SW, HLM, and other teams to advance the root cause and solve the Si issues. - Develop new processes, methodologies, and tools to improve time to root cause. - Take initiative to enhance the debug architecture of the GPU core. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. - Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. - PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. You will be part of the GPU system bring-up team at Qualcomms Bangalore office, focusing on the root cause of real-time functional issues observed/reported in Silicon. Your expertise in design and technical knowledge will be crucial in ensuring smooth execution across projects. You will work closely with Architecture, Design, DV, emulation, SW driver to understand GPU architecture, design, and system level scenarios to solve GPU functional issues.
