Si GPU Functional Debug (Compute) - Sr Lead Engineer

As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, and various other cutting-edge technologies to contribute to the launch of world-class products. Working in the Engineering Group, specifically in Hardware Engineering, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Drive Functional GPU issues reported by internal SW testing or external customers. - Participate in reproducing the issue in the lab across Windows/Android/Auto platforms and analyzing the symptoms. - Build hypotheses based on failure symptoms, devise experiments, and identify the root cause of the issue. - Communicate with Design, DV, SW, HLM, and other teams to address and solve Si issues. - Develop new processes, methodologies, and tools to improve time to root cause. - Take initiative to enhance the debug architecture of GPU core. **Qualification Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of Hardware Engineering experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years, or PhD with 1+ year. - 5+ years of experience in RTL Design (Micro-Architecture) or Systems experience in GPU or CPU or multimedia IP. - Proven track record of working with multidomain, across-site teams. - Experience in debugging low-level hardware design issues and collaborating with design, verification, and software teams. - Good understanding of modern SoC architectures, Power, performance concepts, and debugging tools like JTAG and kernel debuggers. - Exposure to scripting languages like Perl, Python, or Java.
