Shopify/E-commerce Architect

You have 7-12 years of experience in web/eCommerce engineering with at least 3-5 years in Shopify Plus. Your deep knowledge should include: - Shopify Liquid, online store 2.0 - Shopify Storefront API & Admin API (GraphQL/REST) - Shopify Functions & Checkout Extensibility - Node.js, Express, GraphQL - React.js/Next.js (for headless setups) You must have a strong experience with: - Webhooks, event-driven flows - OAuth apps / private apps - Serverless platforms (AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers, Vercel) - CI/CD, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, performance tools Your ability to design high-availability, multi-region architectures is crucial. You should also have past experience creating solution architecture documents, data flow diagrams, and API specifications. Understanding composable commerce, microservices, and middleware patterns is a must. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - 8+ years of Shopify development and e-commerce architecture experience - Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Knowledge of modern development practices like Agile and DevOps Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with other e-commerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce - Certification in Shopify or similar e-commerce solutions - Knowledge of server-side technologies, database management, and cloud platforms - Experience with automated testing frameworks and version control systems like Git Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the design, implementation, and scaling of Shopify-based solutions - Providing technical leadership in selecting tools, technologies, and frameworks - Developing and integrating complex Shopify solutions - Identifying and resolving performance issues - Collaborating with stakeholders to define e-commerce strategy - Working closely with cross-functional teams for project execution - Diagnosing and resolving technical issues - Keeping abreast of the latest Shopify trends and technologies - Providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers In addition to the job role, GlobalLogic offers a culture of caring, learning and development opportunities, interesting and meaningful work, balance and flexibility, and a high-trust environment.
