Our client is one of the most respected brands of corporate India. Our client seeks Head -SAP at their HO in Pune,to lead SAP strategy and innovation initiatives. The experience should be around 20 plus years in SAP environment with a bachelor degree in engineering and professional SAP Certifications preferably in Planning or Finance modules. This role reports to Global CIO. This role will be responsible for managing and enhancing all SAP modules across the enterprise, heading a team of 20+ SAP professionals, and driving business process automation and digital transformation in a manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: - Define and lead the enterprise-wide SAP strategy in alignment with business objectives. - Develop and enforce SAP-related policies, governance frameworks, and compliance standards. - Identify areas for digital transformation and process automation using SAP solutions. 2. Team & Implementation Management: - Lead and mentor a team of 20+ SAP professionals across modules such as PP, MM, SD, FICO, and more. - Manage large-scale SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and rollouts. - Collaborate with key business stakeholders to ensure SAP systems meet operational needs. 3. Technology Management & Innovation: The Head of SAP will play a pivotal role in driving technological excellence across all facets of SAP within the organization. This role requires deep hands-on expertise and a proactive approach to leveraging SAP to streamline business operations, enhance performance, and drive digital transformation in a manufacturing setup. Hands-On Expertise Across SAP Modules: - Actively work with key SAP modules including Planning (PP, APO, IBP), Finance (FICO), Logistics (MM, SD), and more. - Ensure seamless cross-module integration and process alignment. Business Process Automation: - Identify manual processes (e.g., procurement, financial closures) and develop automation plans using SAP Workflow, Fiori apps, or RPA. - Lead business process mapping and implement digital workflows. Collaboration with Technical Teams: - Guide ABAP developers, review functional specs, and ensure technical alignment. - Coordinate with Basis and Security teams for infrastructure, authorizations, and compliance. Basis, Infrastructure & SAP Security Oversight: - Ensure SAP uptime and system performance. - Manage patching, upgrades, and user access controls. - Enforce compliance and system integrity. SAP Rollout & Support Best Practices: - Define template-based rollout models for faster and standardized deployments. - Establish tiered (L1/L2/L3) support systems and ensure SLA adherence. Innovation & Future Readiness: - Promote S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP BTP adoption. - Explore integration of AI, ML, IoT within SAP systems for digital innovation. Experience: - Hands-on expertise in Planning (PP, APO/IBP) and Finance (FICO) modules - Exposure to additional modules like CRM, SuccessFactors, and integration technologies Key Competencies: - Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills - Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities - Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and their SAP integration - Process and system-oriented approach to problem-solving - Adept at stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration Mandatory Tech Skills: - Good experience with SAP ECC/S4HANA core modules, CRM, SuccessFactors, SAC, BOBJ so on.. - Excellent in SAP FICO, excellent knowledge of various SAP modules and other system integration. SAP new age modules like BO, Fiori, CRM, HR so on. - Good knowledge of SAP new tech and modules like RISE, BTP, CRM, SF so on - Knowledge of modern project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP) - Good Domain knowledge of finance and controlling processes. - Good knowledge of Product costing, fix assets, treasury function. - Good understanding of P&L, Inventory valuation, working capital concept, Planning so on.
