Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Scheduling
- Develop detailed repair/refit schedules for vessels in dry dock and afloat.
- Break down work scope into specific tasks, assign resources, and create timelines.
- Identify critical path activities and potential bottlenecks.
- Work Scope & Estimation
- Review client specifications, repair lists, and class survey requirements.
- Assist in cost estimation, man-hour forecasting, and material planning.
- Coordinate with engineering/design team for technical clarifications.
- Coordination
- Liaise between production departments (hull, mechanical, piping, electrical, painting, etc.).
- Communicate project plans to foremen, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Interface with vessel owners, class surveyors, and third-party inspectors.
- Progress Monitoring
- Track daily progress and update schedules accordingly.
- Highlight delays and propose recovery plans to management.
- Maintain accurate job records and reports for management and clients.
- Resource & Material Management
- Ensure timely availability of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate requisitions with procurement and stores.
- Safety & Quality Compliance
- Incorporate safety requirements into all repair schedules.
- Ensure work meets classification society and customer quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Diploma/Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years in ship repair/refit planning or project control in a shipyard environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of ship structures, machinery, and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera or equivalent planning software.
- Knowledge of class rules, SOLAS, and IMO regulations.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- On-time delivery of repair projects.
- Adherence to budgeted costs.
- Minimal rework and quality issues.
- Effective coordination and client satisfaction.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
