About Branch Banking Axis Bank branches serve as the primary touchpoint for millions of retail customers and are a key part of the banks strategy. Branches not only play a significant role in mobilizing deposits from New-to-Bank (NTB) customers but also drive customer engagement across the banks wide range of products and services. Position : Branch Relationship Officer (BRO) Role Overview As a member of the branch banking team, the Branch Relationship Officer is responsible for offering financial solutions to customers, delivering exceptional service, and expanding the banks customer base. The role involves managing relationships with existing clients, acquiring new customers through referrals and outreach, and promoting the banks suite of products and services. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with existing customers, offering additional banking products based on customer needs. Acquire new customers through referrals, branch activities, and customer visits. Actively cross-sell the banks retail and third-party products (e.g., life insurance, general insurance, mutual funds, loans) in line with business targets. Handle customer service requests and financial transactions within defined turnaround times (TAT) to ensure complete resolution. Support branch operations by managing teller responsibilities as required, including handling cash transactions. Educate customers about digital channels like Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, and WhatsApp Banking to enhance convenience. Generate referrals and leads for new business opportunities. Participate in marketing campaigns and local outreach activities to increase brand visibility and product adoption. Ensure adherence to compliance, regulatory guidelines, and internal audit standards. Accurately record customer interactions in the CRM system on a daily basis. Complete mandatory certifications (EUIN, SP, etc.) and bank-prescribed learning programs. Consistently achieve monthly business targets set by the organization. Qualifications Graduate or Postgraduate from a recognized institution. Role Proficiencies Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong networking, relationship management, and customer engagement skills. Familiarity with CRM systems, auditing standards, and digital banking channels.
