Electrical Design Engineer - AUTOCAD
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in solar EPC projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical layouts for rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and Layout: Create detailed electrical design layouts for rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations, including system sizing, cable routing, and equipment placement. 2. Solar Plant Design: Design and engineer solar plants, taking into account site-specific conditions, energy yield, and system performance. 3. Compliance and Safety: Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE), safety regulations, and client specifications. 4. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution. 5. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate design documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports. 6. Client Communication: Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, provide design updates, and address any concerns. Requirements: 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in the solar industry. 3. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope) - Knowledge of electrical design principles, solar panel technology, and system integration - Understanding of relevant industry standards and safety regulations 4. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Solar Industry Experience: Experience working on solar EPC projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted installations. 2. Certifications: Certifications like NABCEP or equivalent would be an added advantage. 3. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with additional design software or tools (e.g., SketchUp, SolarAnywhere).
