Overview: As the only tech resource in a small business, the Software Analyst / Admin will handle IT systems, software tools, basic tech support, and automation to streamline operations. This is a hybrid role requiring both technical understanding and problem-solving ability. Key Responsibilities: 1. Software Setup & Maintenance Install, configure, and maintain business software (e.g., accounting software, CRM, inventory tools). Ensure all software is updated, licensed, and secure. Troubleshoot software-related issues for staff. 2. User Support & Training Provide basic IT support to team members (password resets, login issues, software usage). Train staff on using software tools effectively (e.g., Excel, ERP, Zoom, etc.). 3. Data Management Ensure backup of important business data. Maintain databases (e.g., customer, vendor, employee data). Export, clean, and analyze data for management use (sales, stock, finance reports). 4. Software Vendor Coordination Liaise with software vendors for support, renewal, and customization. Evaluate and suggest new tools or upgrades to improve efficiency. 5. System Access & Permissions Manage user accounts, access rights, and system security. Ensure only authorized users can access critical software and files. 6. Automation & Integration Automate repetitive tasks (e.g., data entry, report generation) using Excel, scripts, or third-party tools (like Zapier). Integrate different tools where possible (e.g., CRM with email or billing systems). 7. IT Asset Management Track all IT hardware and software inventory. Ensure systems (PCs, printers, routers) are working and maintained. 8. Basic Cybersecurity Monitor basic security measures (antivirus, firewall, software updates). Educate staff on safe tech practices (passwords, phishing, etc.). 9. Website / Email / Domain Management (if applicable) Manage company website backend (WordPress, hosting panel). Maintain business email accounts (Gmail, Zoho Mail, etc.). Renew domains and hosting plans on time. Skills Required: Good understanding of commonly used business software (ERP, accounting, CRM). Strong Excel and data-handling skills. Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn. Basic networking and hardware knowledge. Good communication and documentation skills. Overview: As the sole accounts person in a startup or small business, you will handle end-to-end accounting activities . This includes everything from daily bookkeeping to monthly reporting and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Daily Bookkeeping Record all day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses). Maintain cash book, journal entries, and ledgers. 2. Billing & Invoicing Create and send customer invoices. Track outstanding payments and follow up with clients. Manage supplier bills and ensure timely payments. 3. Bank Reconciliation Regularly reconcile company bank accounts with books of accounts. 4. GST & TDS Compliance Prepare and file GST returns (monthly/quarterly as applicable). Deduct TDS and file returns accordingly. Keep records for all tax-related filings. 5. Payroll & Reimbursements Prepare salary sheets. Handle employee expense reimbursements. Ensure proper deduction of PF/ESI (if applicable). 6. Petty Cash Management Maintain petty cash and log all minor expenses. 7. Monthly Reports Prepare basic financial reports like: Profit & Loss Statement Balance Sheet Cash Flow Summary 8. Audit & Compliance Support Maintain organized records for audit readiness. Coordinate with external CA or consultants when needed. 9. Accounting Software Use Manage data entry and reports using software like: Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks / Excel Skills Required: Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Indian tax laws (GST, TDS). Good Excel and accounting software skills. Ability to work independently. Attention to detail and strong organization.
