Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a QC and Lab In charge based on-site in Tamil Nadu, India. The QC and Lab In charge will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes, conducting lab tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining laboratory equipment, and preparing reports. Daily tasks include monitoring production quality, coordinating with the production team, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that raw materials and finished products meet the company's quality standards. About the Role: We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Head of Quality Management System (QMS) to lead the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of our quality systems, with a strong emphasis on process improvement, standardization, and compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards . This role is critical in driving operational excellence and quality culture across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and governance of a robust QMS framework in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 , and customer-specific requirements. Drive process improvement and standardization initiatives to improve quality, reduce waste, and optimize efficiency. Act as the primary contact for IATF and customer audits , ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of non-conformities. Define and monitor KPIs for quality performance; lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Provide leadership and training to cross-functional teams to embed QMS best practices. Manage document control, risk management, and change management systems. Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of quality systems into daily business processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field. Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role . Deep expertise in IATF 16949, ISO 9001 , and other relevant quality standards. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and MSA methodologies . Demonstrated success in leading process improvement and standardization initiatives. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: Certified Lead Auditor for IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001. Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Certification. Experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing environments.
