Job Title: Manager - MEL Department SSE Reporting To: Head - SSE Work Location: Aundh, Pune Employee Status: Permanent Job Type: Full Time, Work from Office Salary (PA): Competitive Job Description The MEL Manager will lead the design and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning frameworks to measure program outcomes and impact. The scope is applicable to NGOs working with Seva Tarang. The specific focus of the role will be towards Projects listed on the Social Stock Exchange and going for listing. The person is to ensure that all projects are aligned with the organization’s Theory of Change and donor requirements, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous program improvement. Responsibilities Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): • Design and implement M&E frameworks for all programs, aligned with Logical Framework Approach (LFA) and Theory of Change (ToC). • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), outcome indicators, and impact metrics. • Ensure data collection, verification, and reporting meet donor and regulatory requirements (e.g., CSR, SSE reporting). • Manage impact dashboards and analyze trends to inform program adaptation. Project & Donor Alignment: • Lead M&E components for donor proposals and reporting across the organization • Support the development of project log frames, result chains, and evidence-based impact narratives. • Conduct midline and endline evaluations and present findings to internal and external stakeholders. Research & Learning: • Facilitate learning workshops and after-action reviews for program teams. • Document best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for scaling or replication. • Commission and manage external evaluations or third-party impact assessments, as required Education: Postgraduate in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy (Preferred) Behavioural Competencies: • Team player with Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. • Ability to translate Qualitative & Quantitative data into insights. • Stakeholder engagement and presentation skills, including with donors. • Commitment to learning, adaptive programming, and social impact. Language skills: • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi. Special skills: • Detail-oriented, highly organized, leader. • High sense of responsibility and commitment. • Good at maintaining relations with agencies, partners and employees. Hands-on experience with CSR-funded programs, institutional donors, or international development agencies. Proven track record in Logical Frameworks, Theory of Change, outcome mapping, and social impact measurement. Experience with quantitative & qualitative research methods, data visualization, and donor reporting. Programs with annual fund sizes of ₹5–25 crore (multi-donor portfolio preferred). Familiarity with Social Stock Exchange (SSE) reporting standards, MEAL frameworks, and global development indicators (SDG alignment). Tools: Excel, Power BI/Tableau or similar M&E tools. Behavioural Competencies Team player with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Ability to translate qualitative & quantitative data into insights.
