Role: ServiceNow Architect

Experience

• 12-15 years of overall IT experience
• 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience in architecture/design roles

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and design of ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM.
• Define platform architecture, data model, and integration patterns to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architecture designs.
• Establish and enforce ServiceNow development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Design and oversee integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, administrators, and functional teams.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and ensure adherence to platform guidelines.
• Drive platform optimization, performance tuning, and upgrade planning.
• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate new ServiceNow features, plugins, and capabilities for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in ServiceNow platform architecture and multiple module implementations.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies).
• Expertise in Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and ServiceNow APIs.
• Experience with CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, OAuth, SSO, LDAP).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS ITSM/ITOM/HRSD)
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (highly preferred)
