Role & responsibilities Own and execute the SEO strategy for the CARS24 AU website Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap studies focused on Australian search trends Optimize site structure, internal linking, meta tags, and technical aspects (Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, crawlability) Collaborate with content, product, and tech teams to implement SEO best practices Monitor and report SEO KPIs including traffic, keyword rankings, CTR, bounce rate, etc. using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs Identify and resolve site errors, broken links, redirects, and indexation issues Lead link-building and outreach initiatives for high-quality AU-specific backlinks Stay updated with Google algorithm updates and local SEO trends in Australia Preferred candidate profile 36 years of experience in SEO, preferably in an e-commerce or marketplace business Proven success in driving SEO growth for international or localized markets (AU preferred) Strong understanding of technical SEO, HTML, JavaScript, and CMS platforms Hands-on experience with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Search Console Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with automotive or classified marketplaces is a plus
