*** Freelance Data Engineer (BigQuery & Google Analytics 4) *** We are currently seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in BigQuery and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data exports. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and optimizing scalable data solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and translating event-based analytics data into actionable insights. 📍 Location: Remote 🕓 Start Date: ASAP 📅 Contract Length: 6 months (extension possible) 💬 Language: English (professional level) Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain BigQuery data models using GA4 exported data. Build and optimize SQL queries for high performance and cost efficiency. Develop and maintain ETL processes to clean, transform, and aggregate GA4 event data. Create custom dashboards and reports in Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI. Implement data partitioning, clustering, and optimization techniques in BigQuery. Automate data workflows using Cloud Functions, Airflow, or dbt (Data Build Tool) . Collaborate with analytics and marketing teams to extract actionable business insights. Ensure data governance, quality, and security best practices are followed. Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with strong skills in BigQuery and SQL optimization . Proven hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) event-based data in BigQuery. Solid understanding of GA4 schema, event structure, sessionization, and user tracking. Experience with Google Cloud Platform tools such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow. Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for data processing (preferred). Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI. Nice to Have: Experience with dbt , Apache Airflow , or other data pipeline orchestration tools. Background in digital marketing analytics or web tracking . Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, BigQuery Analyst). 💼 Why Join?
