Job Description

As a Video Algorithm Engineer at Crunch MediaWorks, you will be a key member of the core video team dedicated to developing cutting-edge video compression algorithms for cloud and mobile applications. Your role will involve developing software algorithms using H.264 and other codecs to enhance user experience and optimize video delivery in various domains. **Key Responsibilities:** - Solid understanding of video compression fundamentals and experience with H.264, H.265, AV1, and VVC codecs - Knowledge of Media Codec frameworks on Android and iOS platforms - Proficient in C/C++ programming on Linux - Expertise in video streaming protocols such as HTTP, RTP, RTSP, and WebRTC - Familiarity with HLS, MPEG-DASH, MP4, fMP4, and MOV file formats - Experience with OS like Linux, iOS, and Android, media frameworks, source control (Git), and open-source media frameworks - Skills in video filters, scaling, denoising, and blending algorithms - Knowledge of machine learning techniques for video compression algorithms - Strong understanding of OS internals including I/O, Networking, and Multi-threading **Qualifications Required:** - 8+ years of experience in video compression with expertise in Media frameworks for iOS and Android - Proficiency in GStreamer and understanding of FFMPEG internals - Experience with video codecs like H.265, VP9, and building SDKs and frameworks - Familiarity with AWS S3 or other storage/CDN services - Experience using Agile and Jira tools - Ability to analyze video streams for conformance using tools like Codecvisa, Tektronix, or Elecard StreamEye - MS or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering If you are a well-organized individual who thrives on development challenges and is eager to learn new concepts in video technology, and if you meet the qualifications mentioned above, we encourage you to apply by sending your CV to careers@crunchmediaworks.com.,
