Senior Threat Researcher

Role Overview: Our client's Threat Research Lab is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Threat Researcher to take charge of advanced threat analysis and assist in the implementation of cybersecurity solutions in a lab setting. This position requires a profound comprehension of threat intelligence, email and URL analysis, as well as automation scripting for processing large-scale threat data effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy, configure, and uphold cybersecurity solutions (endpoint, web, email, and network protection) in a lab environment - Monitor emerging threats and stay updated on evolving security technologies - Provide recommendations and implement configurations to ensure optimal performance of security products - Handle licensing and product updates - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead major projects - Define operational goals and oversee their execution Qualification Required: - BE/B.Tech/MS degree with 4 to 7 years of experience - Proficient in IOCs, reverse engineering, and threat campaign tracking - Demonstrated expertise in analyzing malicious URLs and phishing emails - Skilled in scripting for automating the analysis of large volumes of threat artifacts - Background in system design, implementation, and hardening - Ability to differentiate phishing, spam, and legitimate emails - Experience in high-volume email classification with high accuracy - Proficiency in static and dynamic analysis of URLs and files - Advanced capabilities in identifying phishing/scam URLs - Familiarity with YARA rule creation for email grouping and clustering - Automation-focused, with scripting proficiency for daily threat analysis support - Collaboration with automation engineering teams to provide insights from the threat landscape - Stay abreast of the latest security threats and technologies Please apply to the job or send your CV to sonia@crosstab.in if you find this opportunity appealing.,
