Senior Test Engineer

Role Overview: As a Test Engineer for ETL processes, data warehouses, and data marts, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Your role will involve writing and executing complex SQL queries to validate data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, testing reports and dashboards, and contributing to the improvement of ETL testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data warehouses, and data marts to ensure data integrity and accuracy. - Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data at various stages of the ETL pipeline, identify discrepancies, and verify data quality rules. - Collaborate closely with ETL developers, data architects, and business analysts to understand data requirements, source systems, and target data models. - Perform thorough testing of Reports and Dashboards generated from the data warehouse to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to business requirements. - Identify, document, and track defects and issues related to ETL processes, data quality, and data inconsistencies using defect tracking tools. - Contribute to the improvement of ETL testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data testing. - Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python, for test automation, data manipulation, or data validation is an added advantage. - Good hands-on experience with data services on at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
