Senior Test Automation Engineer

Job Title:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and Cucumber.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Implement Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) practices using Cucumber and Gherkin syntax to ensure clear and understandable test scenarios.
• Execute automated tests, analyse results, and report defects to the development team.
• Continuously improve and optimize the automation framework to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, providing technical expertise and support.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in automation testing tools and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• experience in automation testing with a strong focus on Playwright, Selenium, and Cucumber.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Extensive experience with BDD frameworks and writing test scenarios in Gherkin syntax.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other automation tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms.
