Role Overview

TPM

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Design

• Translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable system designs following

  Spring Boot and MVC best practices

  .
• Design and develop

  secure, enterprise-grade REST APIs

  using

  OAuth 2.0, JWT, and role-based access control

  , ensuring zero-trust principles.
• Drive

  microservices architecture strategy

  , including:
• Service decomposition
• Contract-first API design
• Synchronous (REST) and asynchronous (Kafka/RabbitMQ) communication
• Define and produce

  High-Level Design (HLD)

  and

  Low-Level Design (LLD)

  artifacts.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, data structures, and technology stacks.

2. Development & Delivery

• Write

  clean, modular, and high-performance Java (15+) code

  , leveraging modern features like

  Streams, Optional, and CompletableFuture

  .
• Manage configuration using

  Spring Boot profiles, environment variables, AWS Secrets Manager, Kubernetes ConfigMaps/Secrets

  .
• Build and operate

  cloud-native applications

  using

  Docker, Kubernetes (AWS / OpenShift)

  .
• Lead modernization efforts:
• Monolith Microservices migration
• Apply patterns like

  Strangler Fig, Anti-Corruption Layer

• Own the

  end-to-end SDLC

  : requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.

3. Program Management (TPM Focus)

• Drive

  delivery planning, sprint execution, and cross-team coordination

  .
• Break down complex initiatives into

  trackable deliverables with accurate estimations

  .
• Manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure

  timely delivery with quality adherence

  , balancing technical trade-offs.

4. Quality & Testing

• Enforce

  coding standards, peer reviews, and static code analysis

  .
• Define clear testing strategies:

• Unit tests

  (business logic isolation)

• Integration tests

  (Spring context, DB, external services)
• Drive

  performance, scalability, and reliability testing

  .
• Implement fault tolerance using

  Resilience4j

  (circuit breaker, retry, bulkhead, rate limiting).
• Champion

  TDD, CI/CD automation

  , and continuous delivery pipelines.

5. Operations & Reliability (SRE Mindset)

• Implement observability via

  Spring Boot Actuator, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK

  .
• Manage deployment strategies:

• Blue/Green, Canary, Rolling updates

  in Kubernetes
• Define and track

  SLIs/SLOs and error budgets

  .
• Lead

  incident management

  , root-cause analysis, and post-mortems.
• Ensure production stability, scalability, and resilience.

6. Research & Innovation

• Explore and evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks.
• Lead

  Proof of Concepts (PoCs)

  and technical experiments.
• Stay current with Java evolution (

  Java 11, 17, 21 features

  ).

7. Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with

  product managers, architects, and stakeholders

  to drive solutions.
• Mentor team members through:
• Code reviews
• Pair programming
• Knowledge sharing sessions
• Navigate technical discussions with

  data-driven decision-making

  .
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in

  Core Java (17+)

• Deep expertise in:

• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security

• Experience designing and consuming

  RESTful APIs

  (versioning, pagination, error handling)
• Strong knowledge of

  SQL & PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization)

• Hands-on experience with:

• Kafka and/or RabbitMQ

• Docker, Kubernetes (Deployments, Services, HPA, ConfigMaps, Secrets)

• Experience with

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Experience with

  Resilience4j / fault tolerance frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in

  legacy system modernization to microservices

• Strong understanding of

  performance engineering and scalability

• Familiarity with

  SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, monitoring, alerting)

• Experience managing

  complex, cross-functional projects
