Platform & DevSecOps Engineer

Role Summary

Design, build, secure, and operate the cloud-native platform and deployment infrastructure supporting an AI-powered application security product. Own Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, security controls, and deployment automation across customer cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, security scanning, and deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Helm, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Containerize and deploy Python, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and supporting platform services.
• Implement DevSecOps controls across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Integrate SAST, SCA, container/image scanning, secrets detection, and vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage Kubernetes security including RBAC, secrets, network policies, workload configuration, and access controls.
• Support deployments within customer-managed cloud environments, including restricted enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, container, networking, deployment, database, and application-runtime issues.
• Implement platform logging, monitoring, alerting, metrics, and observability.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and application teams to resolve customer deployment issues.
• Automate installation, upgrades, configuration, rollback, and environment validation.
• Maintain deployment documentation, operational runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and configuration standards.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, security, scalability, and deployment repeatability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and containerized applications.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on knowledge of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Git-based development workflows, and deployment automation.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps and security scanning within delivery pipelines.
• Good scripting/programming experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, TLS/certificates, IAM, secrets management, and Kubernetes security.
• Experience supporting PostgreSQL and cloud-native application environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across application, container, Kubernetes, network, and cloud layers.
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability using technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or cloud-native equivalents.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to operate independently in unfamiliar customer environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience deploying AI/LLM or GenAI applications in production.
• Familiarity with Python application stacks such as FastAPI, Pydantic V2, and LangGraph.
• Experience supporting enterprise/on-premises or customer-hosted deployments.
• Understanding of software supply-chain security, vulnerability management, and secure SDLC practices.
• Experience working directly with customer engineering, security, and infrastructure teams.
