**Job Description:** AVIN Engineering, located in Bangalore, India, specializes in consultancy services across all stages of offshore and onshore pipeline engineering in the oil and gas industry. Our team of pipeline engineering experts deliver seamless project execution from conceptual stages through FEED, detailed engineering design, to construction and commissioning. We provide cost-effective design strategies that meet critical pipeline safety regulations and offer recommendations for maintaining the longevity and efficiency of pipeline operations. **Role Overview:** As a Senior Stress Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector at AVIN Engineering, located in Bengaluru, you will be responsible for conducting stress analysis, design engineering, calculations, and structural analysis to ensure the safety and reliability of pipeline systems. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, coordinate project activities, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform piping stress analysis for water treatment plants, pumping stations, and large pipeline networks using tools like CAESAR II or equivalent software. - Evaluate pipe routing, supports, flexibility, and loads for aboveground and underground piping systems. - Analyze stresses caused by thermal expansion, pressure, dead loads, seismic loads, and water hammer effects. - Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, IS codes, and client specifications. - Review and validate support locations, anchor points, and expansion joints in coordination with piping layout teams. - Prepare and deliver stress reports, calculations, and compliance documentation. - Coordinate with process, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure integrated and clash-free design. - Assist in site reviews, troubleshooting, and commissioning support when required. - Conduct piping stress analysis using CAESAR II for water/wastewater systems. - Evaluate thermal expansion, seismic loads, water hammer effects, and support loads. - Design and optimize pipe supports, restraints, and expansion joints. - Ensure compliance with ASME B31.1/B31.3, AWWA, and API standards. - Review P&IDs, piping layouts, and isometrics for stress considerations. - Perform sustained, occasional, and displacement stress calculations. - Coordinate with structural engineers for support design integration. - Prepare technical reports and recommendations for piping modifications. - Support field troubleshooting of vibration or stress-related issues. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Minimum 5 to 10+ years of experience in piping stress analysis, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure projects. - Proficiency in stress analysis tools such as CAESAR II, Rohr2, or Autopipe. - Solid understanding of pipe support design, allowable stresses, material properties, and flexibility analysis. - Knowledge of water piping systems, including HDPE, DI, SS, and carbon steel pipelines. - Strong communication and documentation skills.,
