Job Title: Staff Nurse (Experienced 5 to 10 Years)

Department: Nursing / Clinical Services

Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Ward In-Charge

Location: Lifeline Health Care Hospital, Thennampalayam, Coimbatore.

Job Summary:

A dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of clinical experience, responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards. The role involves supervising junior nurses, coordinating with the healthcare team, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care

• Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients as per established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist in procedures.
• Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and safety always.
• Educate patients and family members about treatment, care, and discharge instructions.

2. Clinical Duties

• Prepare and assist doctors during rounds, treatments, and procedures.
• Ensure timely administration of medication and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition.
• Follow infection control and aseptic techniques strictly.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and nursing notes.
• Document all nursing interventions and observations properly.
• Report incidents, equipment malfunction, or patient safety concerns to superiors.

4. Supervision & Teamwork

• Guide and mentor junior staff and nursing students.
• Participate in ward management, duty allocation, and shift handovers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

5. Quality & Safety

• Adherent to hospital policies, protocols, and nursing standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, audits, and training programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Follow biomedical waste segregation and disposal protocols.

Work Schedule:

• Rotational shifts (Morning, Evening, Night)

Salary Range:

• 15,000 25,000/month (depending on experience and institution standards)

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Recognized by INC)
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years of clinical experience in a recognized healthcare facility
• Registration: Must be a Registered Nurse & Midwife (RN & RM) with State Nursing Council
• Skills:
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work in a team and handle emergencies calmly
• Proficiency in basic computer and documentation practices
