Senior Software Engineer - Testing

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer - Testing at ValueMomentum, you will be a key member of the team responsible for designing, executing, and automating test cases for Guidewire-based insurance software solutions. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet the needs of P&C insurance clients. Your expertise in software testing principles and extensive experience with Guidewire testing will be essential in driving excellence in quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive test plans with a focus on functional test design & execution approach. - Create test cases based on business requirements and system specifications. - Execute test cases and scenarios to ensure thorough testing coverage. - Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure accurate testing. - Log defects, retest defects, re-execute failed test cases, and track defects for closure. - Automate test cases using the Functionize automation tool. - Maintain existing test cases in the Functionize tool. - Utilize Agile methodologies to drive efficient testing processes and deliver high-quality software solutions. - Participate in all Scrum ceremonies to ensure effective communication and collaboration. - Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Guidewire Policy, Billing system testing, and P&C insurance. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum 3+ years of experience in testing Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Integrations, and Forms testing. - Hands-on experience with Guidewire technologies, including Guidewire Policy, Billing, and Underwriting. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments. - Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally, or similar. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen diligence. - Experience working in an Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode. - Ability to mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
