Senior Software Engineer - Testing

As a Senior Software Engineer - Testing at our Coimbatore campus, you will play a crucial role in designing, executing, and automating test cases for Guidewire-based insurance software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet the needs of our P&C insurance clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing principles, extensive experience with Guidewire testing, and a passion for driving excellence in quality assurance. **Responsibilities:** - Develop comprehensive test plans with the functional test design & execution approach. - Develop test cases based on business requirements and system specifications. - Execute test cases and scenarios, ensuring thorough testing coverage. - Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure accurate testing. - Logging defects, retesting the defects, re-executing the failed test cases, and tracking the defects for closure. - Automate test cases using the Functionize automation tool. - Maintain the existing test cases in the Functionize tool. - Utilize Agile methodologies to drive efficient testing processes and deliver high-quality software solutions. - Participate in all Scrum ceremonies. - Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Guidewire Policy, Billing system testing, and P&C insurance. **Requirements:** - Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum 3+ years of experience in testing Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Integrations, and Forms testing. - Hands-on experience with Guidewire technologies, including Guidewire Policy, Billing, and Underwriting is highly desirable. - Guidewire automation using any automation framework/tool. - Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments. - Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally, or similar. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence. - Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode. - Mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to help them grow and develop in their roles. **Good To Have:** - Guidewire Insurance Analyst certification. - Functionize automation tool experience.
