Senior Software Engineer (Ruby)

As the Senior Software Engineer at our Pune office, you will collaborate with team seniors, Product Managers, and Designers to solve real-world problems for global customers. Working closely with our Customer Operations team in Pune and teams in the Netherlands and North America, you will lead the team day to day and build capabilities to serve customers alongside the Senior Engineering Manager. Your role involves identifying and improving technical weaknesses in codebases and making systematic improvements to shared codebases across the company. In your first month, you will go through our onboarding process called H.A.T.C.H, set up your development environment, understand our engineering processes, and familiarize yourself with the domain. By day 30, you will start hands-on coding after getting acquainted with our codebases and products. By day 60, you will be involved in building a significant part of a project and connecting with the community and stakeholders. By day 90, you will have made technical contributions, earned trust within the team, and presented your progress during review sessions. Further in your journey, you will work as a project lead, build and maintain features, deliver results for impactful objectives, participate in cross-squad initiatives, and mentor and be mentored by other engineers. Minimum qualifications include 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience in a SAAS environment, proficiency in Ruby on Rails, and preferable experience or interest in generative AI, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, GraphQL, with a proven positive impact in previous roles. The position is office-based in Pune, and candidates located in Pune and surrounding metropolitan areas are preferred.
