Senior Software Engineer Routing & Switching (Control Plane / Data Plane)

As a member of the Routing & Switching team, you will play a key role in designing smarter, faster, and more resilient networks for global service providers. Your journey will begin by gaining expertise in Vyatta NOS, a trusted platform for virtualized networking. This hands-on experience will prepare you to work on SAOS 10X, our next-generation platform designed for scalability, performance, and the future of routing and switching. Your responsibilities will include developing embedded software on Vyatta NOS, contributing to the evolution of SAOS 10X, designing, building, and optimizing L2/L3 networking features, and collaborating with Product Owners to enhance features and maximize product performance. You will also troubleshoot, debug, and support large-scale network deployments in real-world environments. To excel in this role, you should have at least 8 years of experience in software development for networking products, strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, and deep knowledge of Linux OS. Additionally, expertise in L2/L3 networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, data plane acceleration, virtualization technologies, and familiarity with YANG/XML, Git, Jira, and CI/CD tools will be essential.
