Senior Software Engineer, Play Developer Console

In this role, you will be part of the Play Developer Console team, responsible for various initiatives within the Play and Android ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include working on projects to enhance the developer experience, improve app ecosystem safety and quality, and collaborate with teams across different locations. You will work with technologies such as Java, Boq, Apps Framework, Stubby, Spanner, Dart, and ACX. Google Play offers a wide range of digital content such as music, movies, books, apps, and games that sync seamlessly across devices. As a member of the Android and Mobile team working on Google Play, you will contribute to backend systems engineering, product strategy, and content partnerships to provide users with a seamless experience across their devices. Your responsibilities will include writing code for product or system development, participating in design reviews, reviewing code from peers, contributing to documentation, triaging and resolving system issues, and more. We are looking for versatile engineers who demonstrate leadership qualities and enthusiasm for tackling new challenges across the full technology stack. If you have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, at least 5 years of software development experience in multiple programming languages, and a year of experience in software design and architecture, we encourage you to apply.
