Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer - Mobile Apps at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mobile applications aimed at helping patients manage their diabetes. Your work will involve collaborating with system and software architects to ensure the applications meet software requirements and perform efficiently. This dynamic role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in an agile environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Experience developing and maintaining complex mobile applications in Flutter (iOS or Android) - Deep understanding and experience working with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) - Expertise in one of the following languages: Dart, Java, Kotlin, C/C++, Objective-C, Swift - Self-motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills - Coach others on software development and provide constructive feedback - Independently design, develop, test, debug, and unit test mobile apps and tools - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of integrating with REST/SOAP based APIs - Collaborate with quality and systems teams to ensure proper product functionality - Participate in agile/scrum environment and contribute to code and design reviews **Qualifications Required:** - 5 years of software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences, or advanced degree with 2 years of experience - Experience in developing and maintaining complex mobile applications in Flutter (iOS or Android) - Expertise in one of the following languages: Dart, Java, Kotlin, C/C++, Objective-C, Swift **Nice to Have:** - Knowledge of mobile application security (Certificate pinning, TLS, SSO, etc) - Experience coordinating with remote teams - Experience in a regulated industry - Experience in creating and maintaining documentation for software systems such as design documents, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams At Medtronic, we offer a competitive salary and flexible benefits package as part of our commitment to employee well-being.
