About the Role

Ready to take on a high-impact engineering challenge As our Senior Software Engineer - Marketplace, you'll help build and scale the backend systems powering Gojek's core experiences. In this role, you'll design and develop scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant services while collaborating closely with Product and Operations teams. If you thrive on solving complex technical problems and building systems that operate at massive scale, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

    • Design and develop highly scalable, highly available, reliable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems with minimal guidance for one of the world's fastest-growing companies in the on-demand services industry
    • Translate business requirements into scalable and extensible design
    • Pair with team members on functional and nonfunctional requirements and spread design philosophy, goals, and improve the code quality across the team
    • Partner with the product management team to define and execute the feature roadmap


What You Will Need

    • Should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications on Java, Ruby, or Go for large-scale applications.
    • Excellent understanding of distributed systems, performance/resource optimizations, database interactions, concurrency and multithreading, fault tolerance, monitoring, security, and operability of systems
    • Ability to pick up new technologies, independently navigate obstacles, and find innovative solutions.

You'll join the Service Fulfilment team - a group of passionate engineers working on the platforms that help Driver Partners complete every order on the Gojek app. We iterate, experiment, and challenge ourselves to constantly improve how fulfilment works behind the scenes. Our goal is simple: ensure every order is completed smoothly and reliably. And we'd love to have you help shape what comes next.
