Senior Software Engineer/ Lead Engineer (4JS Genero)

Role Overview: At R Systems, we are looking for experienced 4JS Genero Developers to join our team for product and application development projects. As a Senior Software Engineer/Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications using the 4JS Genero platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, QA, and Project Managers, your role will involve delivering robust, scalable, and high-performing business solutions in the healthcare, GovTech, and ERP domains. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to system architecture, data modeling, and design decisions in the 4JS Genero & Informix/4GL environments. - Design, code, test, and maintain applications in the 4JS Genero environment. - Provide guidance on best practices and technical standards for 4JS Genero development. - Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. - Work with QA teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle. - Stay updated with new features, tools, and best practices in the 4JS Genero ecosystem. - Investigate and resolve production issues or performance bottlenecks. - Develop and maintain integrations between 4JS Genero applications and other internal/external systems. - Configure the Genero environment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - Strong experience in 4JS Genero Business Development Language (BDL), Genero Studio, and/or Genero Report Writer. - Proficiency in 4GL, SQL; familiarity with additional languages such as Java, C or C++ is a plus. - Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and SQL optimization. - Experience using Git, SVN, or other version control systems. - Comfortable working in both Windows and Unix/Linux environments. - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
