Role Overview: As an experienced Java Developer at Otto Group one.O, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications. Your expertise in backend development using Java and Spring Boot will be essential in contributing to our mission of delivering innovative IT solutions for commerce and logistics. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will have the opportunity to deliver scalable solutions while following industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions. - Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices. - Integrate APIs, third-party services, and messaging systems such as Kafka. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous code quality improvement. - Utilize Bitbucket for source control and contribute to CI/CD workflows. - Ensure application security and quality using tools like SonarQube and Snyk. - Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using Grafana and logging tools. - Work in an Agile development environment and actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Qualifications Required: - 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Java development. - Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with Kafka for asynchronous processing. - Experience with version control systems like Bitbucket. - Exposure to CI/CD tools and processes. - Understanding of secure coding practices, code quality tools (SonarQube, Snyk). - Basic experience with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Cloud Logging. - Exposure to GCP or any cloud platform is a plus. - Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
