Job Title : Senior Software Engineer Java AWS (Contract) Location : Bangalore Domlur Experience : 5+ Years Relevant Experience : 3+ Years in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices & AWS Job Description : We are hiring for the position of Senior Software Engineer (Java AWS) on a contract basis to work on scalable enterprise-grade applications. The role involves strong backend development, cloud integration, and working with microservices and messaging systems in a dynamic agile environment. Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot. Build scalable microservices and ensure seamless communication between services. Integrate messaging platforms such as Kafka or Apache Camel . Deploy and manage services on AWS , including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, and DynamoDB. Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability through code optimization and monitoring. Participate in code reviews, write clean/testable code, and support CI/CD practices. Work closely with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams for seamless product delivery. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. Maintain documentation for architecture, deployments, and support handovers. Participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint reviews, planning). Required Skills : Strong hands-on experience with Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot Expertise in Microservices Architecture Experience with Kafka or Apache Camel (at least one is mandatory) Minimum 2+ years of experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, DynamoDB Proficiency in developing REST APIs , JSON, Git, Maven/Gradle, and writing JUnit/TestNG test cases Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Preferred Skills : Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD tools API testing tools like Postman, Swagger Experience with API Security, Authentication (OAuth, JWT) Prior experience working in a contract or fast-paced product team setup
