Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Capgemini, you will work in the area of Software Engineering, focusing on the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions/applications. Your role will involve applying scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems. You will be responsible for developing and applying software engineering practice and knowledge in research, design, development, and maintenance processes. In this position, you will need to exercise original thought and judgment while supervising the technical and administrative work of other software engineers. It is essential to build skills and expertise in your software engineering discipline to meet the standard expectations for the role. Collaboration and teamwork with fellow software engineers and stakeholders are key aspects of this role. As a Grade Specific Software Engineer at Capgemini, you will be fully competent in your area with a deep understanding of programming concepts, software design, and software development principles. Working autonomously with minimal supervision, you will act as a key contributor in a complex environment, leading team activities for software design and development. You will proactively assess and adapt to project issues, offering innovative solutions and driving the team towards technical and commercial success. Understanding internal/external client needs and providing advice, even without prompting, will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage costs for specific projects/work areas, ensuring profitability needs are met. Your communication skills, both verbal and written, will be crucial in explaining complex concepts to various audiences to ensure understanding. Motivating team members and establishing informal networks with key contacts outside your area are essential for success in this role.
