As a Senior Software Engineer - Embedded Software at Trane Technologies, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the design and manufacturing of current and upcoming products. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with design and cross-functional teams to create industry-relevant products meeting global customer specifications. Projects may span across various areas such as Productivity, New product development, Quality and reliability, Agile, New technology platform, and more. **Key Responsibilities:** - Apply expert knowledge to develop module design. - Develop multithreaded application software using C language for embedded systems. - Design and develop modular applications and libraries. - Engage actively in sprint teams and work independently. - Collaborate with team members to achieve shared sprint goals. - Analyze, recreate, and resolve customer-reported defects effectively. - Identify and suggest improvements for products and their quality. - Work on new product development, new technology initiatives, and productivity improvements. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience in design and development of Embedded Systems. - Expert knowledge in developing modular application software using C for Embedded systems. - Experience in writing multithreaded application software and libraries for Embedded Linux systems. - Good knowledge of Hardware/Software interfaces and reading schematics. - Experience in communication interfaces like CAN, RS232, I2C, SPI, Bluetooth/BLE & GSM AT Commands. - Experience in standard automotive communication protocols like J1939. - Experience in using various tools like static code analysis, run-time debugging tools like GDB & memory debugging tools like Valgrind is an added advantage. - Good working knowledge in agile-based product development methodology. - Effective communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Experience in the Telematics domain is an added advantage. - A degree in engineering with 3 to 6 years of experience in embedded software development.
