Senior Software Development Engineer - Test Automation

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Automation) at Zscaler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring world-class quality for delivering a multi-tenant, scalable, and secure SaaS platform based on microservices architecture. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead and execute testing phases by developing test strategies, plans, and cases from requirements. Your responsibilities will include designing and optimizing scalable automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to set quality objectives and acceptance criteria, and driving continuous improvement. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in functional testing, quality assurance, and test automation for API, databases, and UI using frameworks like Playwright, PyTest, or Selenium. Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java, along with experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases, is required. Additionally, you should be skilled in public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes, with a strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and RESTful services. Excellent communication and collaboration skills within agile team environments are essential. Preferred qualifications that will make you stand out include familiarity with performance, load, and scale testing automation, experience in building/maintaining test infrastructure for continuous testing, and a thorough understanding of agile development and continuous integration/delivery patterns.
