Senior Software Development Engineer in Test III

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Solera, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, development, and delivery of automation test frameworks for our cutting-edge software platform. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through the implementation of efficient testing strategies. Your primary tasks will involve designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining tools, test cases, and automation frameworks for both current and next-generation software platforms. You will work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and other technical teams to plan and coordinate releases effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting functional requirements and designs to create, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to establish and maintain necessary environments for Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving quality, performance, and reliability from the initial stages of development. You will actively participate in Agile scrum teams, providing valuable technical insights and fostering effective communication among team members. Furthermore, you will be involved in documenting and communicating module and automation framework functions, interfaces, test cases, and results to diverse audiences. Your role will also encompass estimating effort, scheduling tasks, and conducting defect management activities to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. To excel in this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have at least 7 years of technical experience as an SDE/T or in a similar role. Additionally, you should have a solid background in object-oriented programming languages, with at least 5 years of applied professional experience. Experience in developing and testing with C# or Java, as well as familiarity with Appium and Selenium libraries, will be essential for this role. Moreover, expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks, particularly focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance, is highly desirable.
