As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Back-end) at Expedia Group, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing challenging and complex features that enhance the traveler experience. Additionally, you will research, recommend, and implement new architectural designs, tools, and technologies for process improvements and quality work. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design new challenging and complex features with your team from design to operations to enhance the traveler experience. - Collaborate with business, product, and cross-functional technology teams to drive traveler success and business outcomes. - Take technical responsibility of the codebase, infrastructure, and operations, ensuring quality throughout the development process. - Research, recommend, and implement new architectural designs, tools, and technologies for process improvements. - Interact with other domains to deliver traveler value through designs and APIs. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to your team. - Communicate project risks and difficulties to technical leadership and ensure code and program documentation are up-to-date. **Qualifications Required:** - Masters or bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent relevant professional experience. - 8+ years of experience in Software Development with object-oriented languages, with Java or Kotlin experience preferred. - 5+ years of experience working on high-performance, scalable services in cloud platforms. - Experience in driving technical design end-to-end and handling multi-quarter large-scale cloud infrastructure applications. - Contributions to the engineering community through blogs, open-source projects, and tech talks. - Strong understanding of testing, monitoring, and deployment tools and technologies. - Proven ability to mentor engineers, guide others in designing high-quality software, and establish software operations metrics and practices.,
